DS Insight have been developing the latest cutting edge technology in IoT networks. IoT networks are focused on low power consumption sensor networks that can be deployed in the field as a permanent installation or a seasonal data collection project.
The IoT cloud networks can be used for critical analysis for a variety of applications and can be fed directly into real time models for analysis. For example IoT water quality data can be fed directly into a corrosion index model for a pipeline providing the client with the most likely condition of the pipe. As well for gravity sewer mains the gas content can be analysed to determine the effects on the concrete crown on the pipeline. This IoT information is critical as point sampling may not provide all the information and a narrow insight to what is actually happening.
Our IoT networks can collect a wide range of data from water quality, hydraulic data, gas and air quality, and agricultural data. This information is sent via 3G/wifi/satellite communication to the cloud where it can be accessed via a web server. This information can also be fed into math engine for real time models, predicting corrosion rates, and analytical maps.
